An oil company announced plans Thursday to build next year what it claims will be the world’s first full-scale floating wind-powered electricity turbine.

HBH Gas Systems has announced plans to develop a Central Gas System for implementation at the Hill Country Harbor development on Possum Kingdom Lake, just west of Fort Worth, Texas. The developers of this upscale community knew their owners would expect the comfort and convenience of gas fuel in their homes, but the development's rustic lakeside setting is too far from the natural gas grid for main line extensions to be economically viable. The Central Gas System will provide underground metered gas utilities to the Harbor's luxury condominium residences, numerous homes, and a variety of amenities. (PRWeb May 22, 2008)
